Introduction to Creative Awareness (0:04)
- Whitney Freya's Personal Story: Whitney shares a childhood experience where, at age nine, a teacher told her she had a great eye for color but wasn’t good at drawing. This led her to believe she wasn’t artistic, and she avoided drawing or painting for years, focusing instead on crafts like yarn and beads.
- Relating to the Audience: Whitney acknowledges that many may have had similar experiences that made them feel disconnected from creativity or art.
I painted this Great Mother painting alongside one of my Rise Above Group Coaching Sessions. While painting this painting, I was given the call to organize "The Great Mother March." The painting was expressing the march the entire time. This painting practice is highly intuitive and multi-dimensional once you open completely to the New Creative Story and develop trust. SO fun and magical! I love sharing this process with you!
The Old Creative Story vs. The New Creative Story (1:23)
- Old Creative Story: Creativity was traditionally viewed as a gift some people had, often associated with artistic talent or natural ability. The value of art was tied to its monetary worth, and art was often seen as an uncertain career path.
- New Creative Story: Everyone is creating their reality in every moment. Our thoughts, expectations, and words shape the outcomes of our lives. Creativity is not limited to a few—each person has the ability to create their reality through their actions and decisions.
The Importance of Taking Responsibility for Creating Your Reality (2:44)
- Shift in Paradigm: Humanity is at a threshold, moving from the old normal to a new way of living. Whitney emphasizes that we create our reality, and it's not about being a victim or blaming others.
- Personal Empowerment: Regardless of past traumas or challenges, Whitney believes that we choose our path, learn from contrast, and have the power to shape our future.
I painted this Freya painting after moving into the home I had purchased 6 years after leaving my marriage. She is my muse for Rise Above! When you resonate deeply with this practice, I highly recommend your next step is Rise Above, A Transformational Painting Challenge. This is where I outline specifically all the life-art connections, how to paint intuitively, techniques, etc.
Honoring Your Journey (3:57)
- Acknowledging Trauma: Whitney honors those who have faced great challenges, suggesting that such experiences lead to soul growth and learning lessons in this lifetime. Each person’s journey is unique and valuable.
When you nurture your Creative Spirit, you are rewarded with an abundance of energy!
Creative Fun and Exploration (5:05)
- Exploration of Creativity: The workshop encourages fun and discovery. The creative awareness template presented was inspired by the "Seven Habits of Highly Successful People" and linked to the chakras. This connection was meant to help participants explore and discover new creative practices.
- Personal Discovery: Whitney encourages participants to explore and find personal meanings in the creative prompts provided, recognizing that this will lead to deeper self-awareness.
The Importance of Focus and Intention (6:08)
- Aligning Creative Energy: Whitney emphasizes the importance of focusing one’s attention, intention, imagination, words, and dreams in the direction of what they want to create.
- Overcoming Inner Critic and Fear: The workshop is designed to help people overcome the inner critic and perfectionism, which can drain creative energy and life force. The goal is to reclaim creative power and overcome fear to create a world rooted in love and compassion.
Conclusion (6:58)
- Call to Action: Whitney invites participants to engage in the process of reclaiming creative power, emphasizing the importance of collective action to create a new world driven by love and compassion.
