Long before stories were written and bound in books, there was Inanna, the Sumerian Queen of Heaven and Earth.
She was radiant. Sovereign. Adorned with the symbols of her power. Her crown gleamed with starlight. Her lapis necklace sparkled. Her robe shimmered with divine authority. She carried the measuring rod, a symbol of status, accomplishment, and identity.
From the outside, she appeared to have everything.
And yet, something within her called her deeper.
Inanna chose to descend into the Underworld.
Not because she was broken.
Not because she had failed.
Not because she needed fixing.
She descended because she knew there was more.

More wholeness.
More freedom.
More of herself waiting to be reclaimed.
At each of the Seven Gates, Inanna was asked to surrender one of her adornments. Her crown. Her jewelry. Her robes. Her symbols of status and identity. Piece by piece, she released everything she had relied upon to define herself.
