How did this darkness experience come to be?
Thank you for asking.
I "got to know" the Goddess Brigid in 2011. I was told she is always "right behind you." How awesome is that?!
One day, I was looking up more around the Celtic spiritual traditions connected to Brigid.
Brigid, amongst other things, is the Goddess of Healing & Poetry. In "her time" the shamans were poets. The "medicine" were the words spoken into the tinctures, teas, etc. HOW AWESOME!? Energy, vibration, frequency1
Now, there was a traditional ritual in which Her poet shamans entered into a special hut made to be completely dark JUST for the shaman poets. They would spend 24 hours in the dark and emerge to write poetry.
This poetry was understood to be ESPECIALLY potent because of the time in the dark.
I thought, "How much MORE powerful to PAINT after spending so much time in the dark."
So I did it.
I emerged with the understanding / teaching that became my latest book, 30 Days to Unstoppable.
I will share the painting with you during our opening of SCD this 12.29.
I am not hoping for marching orders to write another book this year (LOL), and I have felt the nudges to enter into the darkness again (to see more clearly...)
I will email this group that is circling up for Sacred Circle Day when I go into the darkness. And I will see you within minutes of emerging.
You can join me or not.
You can help to hold space for me on the 28th as I immerse myself in the darkness. We will all share in the treasures I discover.

And you could gift yourself time in the darkness...
...for a couple hours before bed on 12.28.23.
...for any number of hours during the day on 12.28.23.
Any amount of time will create a shift in your awareness.
How to spend significant time in the darkness...
Eye mask . You want a contoured eye mask so that you can blink your eyes without your eyelashes rubbing. This is an example.
Leave some food & water out . Last time I was in the dark from 10a to 6a the next morning I NEVER ate. I was surprised that I never felt hungry. And I had some easy to eat food out on the counter that would be easy to find and eat. Leave WATER by your bed, in bathroom, etc. for lots of easy access water.
Detach from any need to "accomplish" . This isn't a competition. If all you do is rest your nervous system and observe your thoughts, nurturing your inner witness, that is great! I'm kinda hoping I don't receive another book to write. LOL - trust the process.
